- Do I need to know how to speak French?
All of our teaching is done in English, except for the
French language class you may choose to take. You will
learn more French than you will believe just because
of the people in the Loire Valley who will be your neighbors.
- What are the costs of the program?
$7400 for University of Southern Mississippi students/Mississippi
University for Women Students
$8400 for Consortium Member students
$9400 for Non-Consortium Member Colleges and University
students
- What do these costs cover?
Housing, tuition, lunch each day, an international cellular
phone, museum and chateau visits for the program, events,
living and learning in Paris for one week.
- How can I earn a scholarship?
First fill out our Student Profile form along with the

- Will my credits transfer?
Almost always. However, you need to discuss the program
with the Undergraduate Advisor before going abroad to
make sure that the courses will transfer. When returning,
bring a course description and a transcript (both from
the program) to your Transfer Credit Office and to the
Undergraduate Advisor.
- Where is the Abbey?
The Abbey is located in Pontlevoy, France. It is a quaint
town of 1600 inhabitants situated in the Loire Valley,
which is the most touristed place in France during the
summer months. It can be found less than 30 kilometers
from the three great chateaux of the valley: Chambord,
Chenonceau and Cheverney. It is in close proximity miles
of Paris, easily accessible by train.
